Mass Relay is the project of producer and multi-instrumentalist Matthew Richter, a musician whose classical roots and deep love for bass music have merged into one of the underground electronic scene's most distinctive voices.

Matt's musical journey began at age 9, playing with metal bands, jazz ensembles, and a formal conservatory study before earning a Master's Degree in classical guitar performance from the University of Denver. That rigorous training gave Mass Relay the tools to move freely across downtempo, dubstep, neuro bass, glitch hop, future funk, and beyond.

While finishing his graduate thesis, Mass Relay won the Untz Challenge, earning performances at nine major festivals in a single summer, including Electric Forest, Summer Camp, Sonic Bloom, and Dancefestopia. He has since shared stages with Clozee, Haywyre, Mr. Bill, Phutureprimitive, Ott, Psymbionic, and Freddy Todd, among others.

His catalog ranges from the fan-favorite Chillin With the Roommates to a steady stream of recent singles, including Dollar Sines, Break a Sweat, and Biological Puppet, each pushing further into experimental territory.

With the technique of a classically trained guitarist and the instincts of a bass music obsessive, Mass Relay delivers a live show that is anything but predictable.
